In this article, I am creating a list of the top 5 highest grossing Indian films of all time which includes films from various languages, and it is based on global box office estimates reported by reputed sources. As of 2014 data Hindi movies (Bollywood) contributes 43% of net box office revenue followed by Tamil and Telegu Movies represent 36% and other regional movies represent 21%.

Prabhas played an impeccable role of Both Amrendra Baahubali (Father) and Mahendra Baahubali (son). This movie was released in Tamil, Telegu, Hindi, and Malayalam Languages. The story revolves around a 15-year-old Muslim girl Insia Malik played by Zaira Wasim who dreams to be a singer, upon not getting support from her father she starts uploading her singing videos on YouTube by hiding her identity. This film deals with social issues such as domestic violence, gender equality, feminism, etc. This Film won three Filmfare for Best Actress (critics), best-supporting actress, and best playback singer (female). This film is the second highest-grossing non-English film worldwide after Dangal.

PK is the fifth on the list of 5 highest-grossing Indian films, a science fiction comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani which was released on 19th December 2014. The story revolves around an alien named PK starring Aamir Khan, who comes to earth for a mission. During his visit, he was conned and his remote control of the spaceship got stolen and later sold to a person who claimed to be a Godman. He became friends with a journalist played by Anushka Sharma who helped him to retrieve his remote from that Godman and return to his planet.
During his journey PK questions religious superstitions and the frauds of religious godmen who are basically brainwashing people for their own benefit. PK won the Filmfare award for best screenplay and best dialogue in 2015
